Biography

Above The Underground are pop-punk / alternative quartet hailing from Chester, England.

The band – comprising Will Kirkman (vocals), Al Kirkman (guitar), Nick Barlow (bass) and Brandon Icely (drums) – have played over 200 shows in three years, including three UK tours. The band also recently disembarked from a 60 show, two month tour of the United States.

The band have shared the stage at sell-out shows with scene heavyweights such as Set Your Goals, A Loss For Words, Save Your Breath, I Call Fives and many more; been featured in leading UK music publications Kerrang! and Rocksound, as well as leading US publications such as Alternative Press, the band took the UK by storm in 2012 with their sophomore release ‘Autumns’, which received over 1500 downloads in the first month of release.

With new plans, new ambitions and new material, the band are now looking to make 2013 as successful as last year.

Since the band started in 2009, they have:

  • Played over 200 shows
  • Completed three UK tours and one tour of the USA
  • Received both national and international radio, magazine and television coverage, including Alternative Press and Kerrang! magazine.
  • Been featured as Easycore.com’s ‘band of the week’
  • Been featured in A Wolf At Your Door Record’s “unsigned showcase’
